Keto Sazerac

As Mardi Gras approaches, it seems only fitting to drink up one of these New Orleans classics. You can use your favorite whiskey, but Sazerac is the classic and what the cocktails named after! Like all things Mardi Gras, these things are potent! You've been warned!

Method

  1. In cocktail shaker, place Bocha Sweet, 3 dashes of Peychaud’s Bitters and 2 dashes of Angastora Bitter. Muddle or stir.
  2. Add Sazerac and cognac. Stir till sweeter is dissolved. Add ice and stir to chill.
  3. Add ice to rocks glass. Add Absinthe and stir. Pour out absinthe and retain ice. This is just to add the slightest taste of anise to the cocktail.
  4. Pour cocktail over ice. Garnish with lemon peel.
