Keto Fried Pickles
Fried pickles are a staple here in Texas, but anything fried is forbidden when you’re on a ketogenic diet. When you’re following the ketogenic diet, making fried foods can be tricky, so we created these keto-friendly fried pickles! Keto Fried Pickles are a twist on a classic bar food that normally uses flour to bread the pickles. But, in this recipe, the pickles are tossed in seasoned Ketonia bread mix and then fried in coconut oil until crispy.
Ingredients
Method
- Heat oil in deep fryer to 375*.
- In a medium bowl combine ketonia mix, garlic salt, cayenne, paprika, and pepper. Mix well. Transfer mixture to a paper bag. Strain 1 cup of pickle slices and toss into the paper bag. Close the bag and shake until the pickles are completely covered in breading. Remove the pickles from the bag, dusting off any remaining bread mix. Place the breaded pickles into the hot oil and let cook for about 1 minute. Remove pickles from the oil and place on a paper towel to cool. Repeat with the rest of the pickles.
Keto Ranch Dressing
- In a small bowl combine all the ranch dressing ingredients listed; mayonnaise, sour cream, parsley, dill, chives, garlic salt, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until completely combined. Serve on the side of the fried pickles.
