I think we all can agree donuts are amazing! And Keto Bavarian Cream Donuts are very next level, they really are not much more difficult to make. This may look intimidating but a lot of this time is waiting which calls for a little break!

Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 cups Ketonia Keto Bread Mix
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 3 tbsp sugar or sweetener
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • Oil for frying
Bavarian Cream Filling
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sweetener
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp instant vanilla pudding mix (sugar-free)

Method
 

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water with 1 tablespoon sweetener. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Combine Ketonia Bread Mix, remaining sweetener, eggs, and melted butter. Add yeast mixture and mix to form dough.
  3. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out dough and cut into circles. Place on parchment-lined sheet.
  5. Let donuts rise another 30 minutes.
  6. Heat oil to 350°F. Fry donuts 2-3 minutes per side until golden. Drain on paper towels.
  7. For filling, whip heavy cream with sweetener, vanilla, and pudding mix to stiff peaks.
  8. Fill a piping bag with cream. Poke a hole in each donut and pipe in filling.
  9. Dust with powdered sweetener if desired.
