Ketonia Bread Keto Patty Melt

Watch out, Whataburger! There’s a new patty melt in town, our Ketonia Bread Keto Patty Melt. This is such a simple and delicious way to use your new Ketonia bread mix.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices Ketonia Bread mix bread (sliced into Texas Toast)
  • 2 thin hamburger patties
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • 1 slice swiss cheese
  • ¼ onion (minced)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pickle spears garnish

Method
 

  1. I love to grind my own burgers. I do ⅓ each of boneless short ribs, sirloin, and chuck steak. It takes only 5 minutes to make in my Kitchen aid! I added 2 oz of bacon to the mixture just to bump it up a notch!
  2. Fry burgers in a pan over medium-high heat. They won't take long since they’re so thin.  Remove burgers and saute onions in 1 tbsp butter till slightly browned. Set aside.
  3. Wipe the pan out with paper towels. Melt 1 tbsp butter, grill both sides of Texas toast until brown. Place 1 slice American cheese on bread, then 1 patty. Top with swiss. Top with the second patty, cheese, and onions. Top with the second slice of Texas toast and heat gently to melt cheeses.
  4. Serve with pickles Mayo, sugar-free Ketchup as desired!
