To make meatballs: Place ground meat in large bowl. Add egg, parmesan, pork panko,1 tsp Italian seasoning, salt and pepper and 2 or 3 tbs of cold water. Combine thoroughly. Set aside. You will make meatballs and drop them directly into the soup.
In Instant Electric Dutch Oven or regular stovetop Dutch oven, Saute sausage in 1 tbs olive oil till fully browned.
Add onions, mushrooms, garlic, zucchini and peppers. Cook till softened.
Add beef broth, tomatoes and pizza sauce. Stir to combine.
Change setting to braise if using Instant pot dutch oven.
Now roll small meatballs and drop into soup. I make mine the size of a golf or ping pong ball.
Place top on soup and simmer for 2 to 3 hours, checking occasionally and adding more broth if it cooks down to much.
Place cut pepperoni in saute pan and cook till crisp.
Sprinkle soup with crisp Pepperoni and parmesan cheese if desired! Mangia!
