Instructions
Combine all bread ingredients and knead bread according to directions on the package. Let the dough rest , covered, for 30 to 40 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375*
Flatten dough into a rectangle and roll, jelly roll style into a loaf. Let rise for 30 to 40 minutes.
Brush with egg wash and bake for 30 minutes.
In a large skillet, brown and crumble chorizo until cooked. Drain and set aside. Combine shredded cheddar and Gruyere cheeses, then set aside.
To a large mixing bowl, add eggs, cream, salt, dry mustard, black pepper and paprika. Whisk until combined.
Add cubed bread pieces to the bottom of a 3 quart casserole dish. Top with crumbled sausage, bacon, and 3/4 of the cheeses. Pour egg custard over the top, using a wooden spoon to gently push any un-soaked bread down into the custard. Sprinkle with remaining shredded cheeses.
